Whatever type of tablet you’re looking for, these offers will help you save money

Whether you want a cheap tablet to browse the news over breakfast, a child-friendly tablet for kids, or a more powerful Samsung, Apple or Microsoft tablet to help you stay productive on the go, there are plenty of discounts on top models out there.
The iPad popularised the form factor and remains the first port of call for most tablet shoppers. If you want a tablet to complement your other Apple devices, we’ve rounded up the best iPad deals this month, including offers on the iPad Pro, iPad Mini and more.
Lenovo, Samsung and Microsoft all offer a range of tablets to choose from, running on Windows or Android software. If you don’t own any Apple devices and aren’t already in the company’s ecosystem, looking at an alternative brand can be a great idea and can potentially save you lots of money.
For kids’ tablets, look to the Amazon Fire HD range. The tech giant has child-friendly versions of its tablets, designed with parental controls and packaged with a subscription to thousands of age-appropriate books, games and apps. You also get a two-year guarantee against breakages, so you don’t have to worry about the device getting chucked across the room during a tantrum.
Whatever style you’re looking for, our round-up of the best tablet deals can help you save money and find the device that’s right for you.

- Amazon Fire max 11: Was £289.99, now £219.99, Amazon.co.uk
- Amazon Fire 7 kids tablet: Was £124.99, now £84.99, Amazon.co.uk
Samsung Galaxy Tab S10+: Was £999, now £849, Amazon.co.uk

I found that Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S10+ tablet gives Apple a run for its money, with a smooth 12.4in OLED display and amazing new AI features such as transcription and translation. MY pick for the best Samsung tablet certainly isn’t cheap, so any discount is worth considering. Amazon, Currys and John Lewis have all reduced the price by £150. However, you’ll have to be quick, as these limited-time offers won’t be around for long.
Amazon Fire max 11: Was £289.99, now £219.99, Amazon.co.uk

This is the most powerful tablet in Amazon’s Fire range and was named our best full-size budget tablet. Our tech critic David Phelan praised its large display, strong battery life of around 14 hours and “bright and colourful” display. Its resolution doesn’t quite match that of the iPad Air, but it’s not bad for a tablet that’s a fraction of the price. You can now get almost 25 per cent off the tablet at Amazon. Keep checking back if you miss this deal, as it regularly drops in price.
Samsung Galaxy Tab A9: Was £169, now £140.70, Amazon.co.uk

A steal at less than £150, Samsung’s budget-friendly A-series impressed us with its bright display and premium-feeling metal frame. It runs on a decently powerful chip, and, while you get less storage and RAM than you would in more-expensive tablets, performance never feels sluggish. The design features battery life up to 10 hours and a Dolby Atmos sound system, as well as front and back cameras for taking calls and capturing memories.
Amazon Fire 7 kids tablet: Was £124.99, now £84.99, Amazon.co.uk

If you want to save on a kids' tablet, it’s worth checking out Amazon’s Fire 7 tablet from 2022. It has less internal memory than the newer Fire HD 8, but this can be increased to 1TB with a microSD card. It’s currently reduced by 30 per cent at Amazon, with a year’s subscription to Amazon Kids+ included. This gives kids access to games, videos, books, and more.
However, if you don’t need lots of storage space, you can save even more on the 16GB version (was £114.99, now £59.99, Argos.co.uk).
Apple iPad Pro 13in, M4: Was £1,299, now £1,200, Amazon.co.uk

The iPad Pro 13in won the accolade of best on test in our review of the best tablets. Our tech writer called it “leagues ahead of its already-impressive predecessor”. It’s the thinnest Apple product ever made, and feels “remarkably light and portable”, they praised, and is “compatible with lush new magic keyboard and pencil options”. Expensive, yes, but this deal will shave close to £100 off the price.
